For my daily dose, I have two items to post. No, I have not been snoozing these past few days--just busy felting! My first entry here is a custom made scarf for one of my Etsy clients. She requested her school colors! Custom wet-felted merino scarf by catwycliff, on Flickr

My daily dose from Thursday, entitled, “Swimmers in the Secret Sea.” Wet felted base with silk hankies applied, needle-felted fibers including acid-dyed domestic 56’s, merino, mulberry, Tencel and angelina. Anybody out there think it needs to be wet-felted now? Swimmers in the Secret Sea by catwycliff, on Flickr

It's beautiful Cathy. I love the name. I think if you're happy with it the way it is, leave it alone. Wet felting might give a little more texture with the silk but you might lose the definition of the fish.

Thanks for your input, Marilyn. Decisions, decisions!

I think the question of wet felting depends on what you're going to do with it. If it doesn't need to be really sturdy, you can just leave it. The colors are wonderful.

Hello Cathy, your Swimmer in a secret Sea is gorgeous. I really like all the colors you used and all it swirls gives it a glorious look. IMHO If you are going to use it as a wall hanging with a another support frame I would leave it as is..
