Aha, the link works now. Wau, so beautiful. I don't understand what is the thing you are spraying with? And one more thing: Did you have to do some stitching in the end or did the spaces between the resists felt together? I think they felt together, because you left 2cm between them and you lay them as roof tiles in the next round.

Ahhh, because you're caught up in the moment? :-) Yes, too busy with felting. I am going to a fair again in may. And i am trying to make a vest like Svetlana Vronsskaya. some poleyster fabric didn't felt in (needle felted holes forgotten). it is a big 'delivery' . So far just finished the back.

Great job Leigh. I think writing the tutorial took the same time as making the rug

I have never tried it myself, but was told that some felters use roller blind stiffener in spray for interior décor items. Something like this I believe: Stiffener When i am home, i am going to order this.

I used a powdered shellac and alcohol mixture to stiffen (meant for millinery use) in a workshop. Hated the stuff, but it works for the application. The acrylic medium works well only if it never ever ever gets wet... and I mean ever! May i ask : what is 'powdered shellac' ?

Sometimes objects needs a stiffener. we have talked about that before. remember; dipping in buttermilk, wallpaper paste, appret. but also the use of acryl medium mixed with water. I thought Ann asked Ruth when to use it, before drying or after? What is the best way to stiffen the brim of a hat (except hatstiffener ?

Nada , I saw that video too, you did a great job. I took a look 2 or 3 times to that video and was wondering how she get those flaps on the vest, is it felt over the sleeves or instead of the sleeves. I thought it is over the sleeves and than using a plastic between? I posted it also on my fb site.

When I teach hats. nothing to complicated I use 100grams. so if you double it you should have more than enough with some left to make a matching scarf. I also use 100 grams for a beret using merino. but also made a hat of sheepswool and it was 200 grams. it just depends on how many layers she advises and also what youself already said. show us the hat when ready ?
