Well, I had never heard of a pelerine, but I really like it. More excellent work, Nada. Will take a look at that video for sure.

I thought pelerine is a common word and found a definition too: Pelerine definition, a woman's cape of fur or cloth, usually waist-length in back with long descending ends in front. Thank you for your comments. Yes, my granddaughter likes it and it fits her which is most important.

She didn't make a falcon, Marilyn! (autocorrect?) That's really nice, Nada, I hadn't heard of one, either.

It's really beautiful pelerine, Nada! (I know the word She is a good teacher, I've met her last year at Feltrosa in Italy where she did two-day workshop on felted jacket. Apparently complex shape sleeves are her speciality. Well done Nada on such intricate design and great result!

Nada , I saw that video too, you did a great job. I took a look 2 or 3 times to that video and was wondering how she get those flaps on the vest, is it felt over the sleeves or instead of the sleeves. I thought it is over the sleeves and than using a plastic between? I posted it also on my fb site.

Vilmaaraan In the video she actually felted the flaps on the vest. In my case I found it very digfficult to figure out the correct template for the flaps so I decided to make a vest first and bring it to the stage of prefelt. Then I cout out a template from a piece of fabric to check and see how it would fit. I made two flaps separately, leaving the ends where the flaps attach the vest unfelted. Then I joined the vest and the flaps by putting some more wool on the joints. I also put a piece of thin plastic underneath as a blocker and felted the whole piece further on.

Yes Nada, that was the tricky point, i looked at that point several times. The stage of prefelt that is a good point for attaching. It is quite a challenge ! But you did it!! Bravo
