I think we are being targeted by marketing emails I've had one about this group to my personal email asking if we need help to promote our website?

thank you for sharing your process, I could feel your frustration with moving it forward - I love the end result and the paper chain is genius, as it shows up so well against the background and we can all resonant with making paper chains.

My first inspiration was a woman who made felted gnome/elf-like folk and I wanted to have a go so I bought her book, I wasn't content with that I wanted to do more and find out more.
Then that led to looking for inspiration and I really struggled with that, I had attempted some different approaches when I stumbled across you wonderful felters then I really got inspired, creative and tried different techniques - you gave me confidence.
I would say now for me my inspiration comes from what the fibres and inclusions do, what I see in the felt and then I build on it, I love embellishment so that has to be part of it too.

Apart from warping up an ancient 4 shaft loom and spinning some fibre my main achievement in fibre land is completing a piece of work I started a few years ago - I really need to get a wiggle on and create more of these magical pics

Two really different and fabulous pieces Lyn and Cathy, I just love the amount of detail in both, how a subtle change in white can create such a difference, and Cathy I love how the hidden pieces emerge.

For drying fleeces, I bought a fab hanging herb dryer, I fixed mine in the greenhouse, but anywhere with a drip catcher will do, air gets all around the fleece and you can lay your fleece out in 8 different compartments and they are quite large, good luck Leonor.

It's beautiful and the leaf detail is genius and works so well with the natural colours of Shetland
