These are beautiful and unique, thank you so much for sharing, and what I love about your tutorial is all the different approaches and colours.

Really good information here, I have downloaded the pattern too and when I get time I will try these out, I do like the idea of ready-made soles

You've inspired me to have a go too, let me know if you find anything that will create a non-slip sole :-)

my greatest concern is sitting on fibres and then walking around all day with a fluffy bum!!!

I just wanted to share something with you, this weekend I am part of a spinning, weaving and anything fibre group and we have a weekend away - during the weekend we have a few community like activities;
one of these is to complete some felt work started by a lady, I never met but sadly has died. The group have a box of half felted pieces from her so collectively we are going to complete them.
Then on top of that piece of heartfelt work, we have a group of women coming along who sing songs in Gaelic - Waulking the Cloth (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waulking_song)
We are going to be having a go at contact dyeing and making felted gnomes onto driftwood - I am so excited :-)

A really good way to show the process, and Lyn your idea of scrolling images will attract interest too.

What a great piece, I love how she has layered the merino and scrim to create a frosty effect.
