I thought it would be good to start a new thread each week so that one thread wouldn't get so long.
I am still working on beading and applique. This morning before work I had a few minutes so I copied my applique pattern and cut out the pattern pieces. Tonight I will fuse the back of my cotton with fusible, cut out the pieces and then I'll be ready to fuse down the applique pieces. Hopefully, I'll have time at work to finish one edging and get started on the "fringe" edging. That one is going to be wild with a mix of all the different kinds of fringes I can create.
What are your plans for this week?

I'm in 'vessel mode' and I'd like to do another one this week. So far my hands on creativity has been helping with the cutting out at a children's craft club and doing a bit of knitting. I've done a lot of vessel thinking but I haven't come up with an idea that I'm totally happy with yet.

You can post pics here Sarah. Just put it under mixed media - that covers any other kind of art form

Working on organising still. I got my sewing machines swapped out. The new to me one has changeable cams for different stitches. Next is organising all the things that I took off the old one. Today was getting snow and ice of the roofs. I watch in case someone falls or gets hit by falling ice. There should be some time for sorting though.

I let go of 2 of my art babies today. One of the married granddaughters wanted my prize winner Oriental Garden. She has nothing on her apartment walls. I added another oriental piece that I thought would go with it. I had to build a box to mail this 24 X 30 fiber art on canvas to her. It was pretty expensive. But part of the expense was insurance. Now I am doing a little beading.

What a nice gift Judy - I'm sure she'll treasure it.

Sounds like your art has gone to a good home Judy. Perhaps to be passed down through the generations.

That really means so much when family value your art.
I got a new desk, so I'll be kind of playing with fibre when I re-organise things. Hopefully I'll get to do a fibre inventory soon.

Today is my Seniors Art Guild day. I was trapped (I mean elected) to Vice President for this year. My goal is to persuade them to get more organized. Yes, I do think this granddaughter will appreciate what she got. And I don't really need to sell anything at this point in life. Thanks to Zed, I have been exploring more features on my digital camera. I will be experimenting more with that. I used to be a pretty fair photographer, but just lost heart with the digital stuff. Never too old to learn.

I should explore mine a bit more too, I know it has panorama so I can stitch photos in the camera instead of Photoshop. My dad has a £400 DSLR and sets it to auto with the flash on for everything I did manage to reorganize some wool yesterday, and enjoyed smelling my raw locks collection

Working on my interpretation of my granddaughter's cockatiel, Dewey. He is a very loud bird with a whole host of talents and songs. He also likes to show off for what we call "Shadow Bird." Shadow bird lives on the wall behind his cage. He has his own toy world to keep him entertained.

Today was the meeting of our small fiber arts group. We meet once a month and work on challenges together. I almost completed my "Dewey Bird" project and some of them did prarie chickens and one lady did her neighbor's rooster. Another lady chose to not do a bird, but a friend's dog. We had so much fun with these, that we decided to carry it over for another month. Since I posted Dewey on facbook, now my daughter wants one of her dog "Snickers." So, I guess I can always start a career as a pet portrait artist. lol. I tried to put a picture on here, but it just didn't work, so I will try again when I can take a picture and resize it.
