Wow to both Ruth and Judy! The book and Dewey are both amazing I managed to finish all the stitching on my camera bag, I think it needs blanket stitching though. I also made some new tea towels into napkins because I couldn't find any being sold I like your inspiration for your next vessel, Lyn, I look forward to seeing what you make I had a dream about making a felted 3d fish like a vessel and its fins, tail and those flappy things on the top and bottom were like the cobwebby parts of your vessels

Your dream sounds amazing Zed - are you going to have a bash at the fish?
You could use some amazing colours. You might want to make some sort of stand for it? Like a block of wood with a spike for the fish to 'swim' on?

Ruth, what an amazing book! It will become a family heirloom, I'm sure! Judy, your cockatiel is delightful and I really love the rather oriental background. Zed, a fish would be good, it could be mounted as Lyn suggests, or you could make a mobile. Have flying fish over your bath! Lyn, I like you pot inspiration.

Oh dear posted that before I'd finished. I don't get on we'll with this IPad of my husband's! (I recently saw a funny YouTube thing where someone was using it as a chopping board! Hilarious)
To return to fibre, pots and inspiration - I want to make a vessel with double and separate sides, perhaps with holes in the outer layer. The lower half would be fused. I think I have the method in my head. Now to see if it will work! :/

that sounds interesting Judith. Holes look so cool in felt. If I could sort out a way to add a couple of stays to support the really big hole I put in it.
the fish sounds like an interesting challenge.

Ann - you could add fabric stiffener to the vessel. There are several kinds on the market. Or even dense stitching might help - but that would take a lot more time.
Thanks to everyone for your compliments on the bead book. I ironed fusible to the organza that will back all the pages. Hopefully, tonight I will get those cut into 4"x 4" pieces and fuse them to the back. Then on to binding. The pages are so heavy I'm afraid the binding won't be sturdy enough. I will use #3 perle cotton but that last page especially is very weighty!

Judith - I've seen that ipad/chopping board clip - I thought it so funny that I watched it twice more!
The pot you describe sounds lovely - I used a bubble-wrap resist to separate layers that were fused at one end only, and although fiddly, it did work.

It was a very colourful fish that I dreamed of, but if I do make it, it won't be for a while I was going to say I thought I'd seen a joined vessel, maybe it was yours, Lyn?
