My daily dose today was carding. I made 5 large bats this afternoon. nothing fancy just single colours. All of them a shade of blue

I did the greens today. I seem to have done the sae green but in 3 different saturations but not much different. I will probably end up blending one of them with something else or maybe sell it.

Lately I have been spending time with cloth. This blue and white cotton piece I dyed in a shibori class 15 years ago, then tucked it away. Recently I pulled it out and began hand-embroidering in red, no particular pattern or purpose. I guess I am now a part of the very popular slow stitch movement. My slow stitching goes in the pattern of stitch a little, then don't stitch for a while, pick it back up, stitch a little...

I was tidying up the other day and remembered I'd started to add stitching to a piece I made with Prefelt from Heidi Feathers. I think I've only added straight stitches, but I might get it out and add more.

Marilyn, Carole and other onwers of a punching machine !! today I felted what I wanted to try since a long time : as wool shrinks totally under the needles of the embellisher (if the fibers are well put perpendiculary), I wanted to use my sewing patterns to make clothes. I wanted to have a first try on a small piece, so as I needed a hat, I made this one based on a hat pattern I've alreday used in sewing (I just changed one piece I wanted different) : I'm absolutely delighted with the results of this technique (which announces a lot of others !!!) Compared to the pod, as the hat is larger, "seams" (invisible) were easier to felt

Aphee the hat is beautiful. I'd love hear how you got it shaped so well. I'm having a hard time envisioning the process using the embellisher.

I'm looking forward to seeing the process! Interesting hat Once I started to put my World of Wool order away, I realised I needed re-organising, so I've been doing that in between watching Home improvement shows and rubbing clove oil on my gums. Hopefully I can felt soon, I want to try out my pencil roving.
