That did turn out quite nicely, Carole! I bought some of that soluble fabric stabilizer (Lutradur) but still haven’t used it. Another project waiting for full realization. ;o)

The pod is beautiful Carole! Lyn's right I hope you have it prominently displayed. Also a great idea to transfer the embroidery to the pod. Nice job.

Very nice pod, Carole. Recently I haven't been felting much. I'm trying to concentrate and spend energy on practising for the concert to be held next Sunday. I'll be singing seven Russian and gypsy romances. It has taken me lots of practising, especially pronunciation of Russian words. But starting with June I'll be felting again. Can't wait!

Great addition of embroidery to your pod Carole.
Cathy - water soluble fabric and Lutradur are not the same thing. Lutradur melts with heat but won't dissolve with water.

Good luck Nada! I'm sure you'll be great. Russian is very hard indeed let alone singing it.

Oh, that reminds me, I mentioned a while ago that my dad had 'aquired' (skip/dumpster diving) some stuff that looked like lutrudur, I asked him if he had any, but he thinks he gave it away to be used like horticultural 'fleece'/weed suppressant. Good luck with the concert, Nada

Are there going to be any videos of the concert posted online? We'd love to hear it

Good Luck Nada and remember to have fun. My daily dos is 3 project bags half felled/fulled to day. I hope I can finish them tomorrow.

Good luck Nada, Russian must be so hard, I spent 8 years in Bulgaria, and I did learn some language it's a hard alphabet, anway удачи for your concert you will be wonderful.
Thank you everyone for your lovely comments about the pod, and I have had a go with my new felting machine - it arrived - I have a feeling it going to be my next best friend :-)

I took a photo of the Botany lap waste. I'd have preferred to have all colours, it's a shame they don't do a 'naturals' as well as the white, and I don't often criticise WoW, but if there's a 'white' option, you shouldn't really get white stuff in with the 'coloured' option. Saying that, I think the two natural looking tops in the top left are a couple of their luxurious blends, they feel very soft like alpaca, camel and yak, and I can smell the silk on one of them. botany lap waste by zedster01, on Flickr It was £13 for 500g, so a lot cheaper per 100g than you'd pay for dyed Merino or any of the blends.

Looks like a nice bunch of waste Zed. I have avoided getting it because it can have superwash in it.

I did check for superwash in the description, but it didn't mention it, and said it was suitable for felting. Maybe it's changed?
