I've seen photos of the display you describe - a box of tissues is essential - but brilliant work indeed.
Glad you enjoyed the shopping. Online shopping for beads and fabric etc cannot compare to bricks and mortar shops so yes, shows like this are great.

Wow, that really zings with colour! Can you give us an example of the painting techniques mentioned? That's an easy one to answer Lindsay. Annie has written about the painting techniques in her last two blog posts. This one describes the painting course: painting courseAnd this one shows felt process: felting

My daughter Annie has used painting techniques, that she learned at West Dean in the summer, to create this wet felted art.

Oh Elizabeth, I do feel so sorry for the seller of the fused glass! It's a shame when you work towards the one day and it turns out like that. At least the charity will benefit from your lovely makes.

Look forward to seeing piccies Prairiesky. I agree with your feelings about computers but they do enable us to communicate so we just have to grit our teeth, grab a coffee and work with them.

So.. might be a dumb question.. but when buying wool.. i found one that sells like a bundle, and you get an ounce per color.. i dont know what an ounce of wool is.. is that a lot? How do i know if im getting a good deal.... For needle felting 1oz bundles would be ideal.

I've dyed fabric to get the colours I want, but I've never dyed wool because WoW and Wingham etc have so many lovely colours for me to buy that I skip straight to the felting!

For small needle felted projects you need lots of different colours in small amounts of wool. Etsy is one place to buy packets of assorted colours in small amounts. Here is one example of wool for sale in an Etsy shop (click on link) but there are lots more shops and you can choose from a supplier that is in your country to make postage easier. link
