They look very cosy. I should make some new ones, but the felting muse isn't with me just now.

Thanks, Judith! I know exactly what you mean. My felting muse was gone for at least a month. Maybe she will visit you next? (Long trip over the pond!)

Thanks, everyone I usually make my own rainbow thread (a strand from 6 different flosses) but found some packs with ready-made rainbow ones. Lovely slippers, Cathy I might have to add some Gotland tops onto my WoW order and try slippers again.

Thanks so much, Zed, Judith, Marilyn. These are my weaving slippers. Yes, I don’t like to wear hard soles/shoes for weaving on the floor loom, so these are perfect. And I didn’t have to use that spray on the soles cuz they are for indoors only. Working up the courage to try Nada’s slippers next (the ones with the “ears.”)

I've been making slippers lately. Winter is comming and there is more demand for such items now. These two of my latest pairs with elevated heels.

Very cool Nada! How do you accomplish the elevated heels? With extra fiber?

Very nice Nada, is that lace on the lilac ones?

Thank you Marilyn and Teri. You get elevated heels by not cutting off the "tongue" which has remained after you have cut out the usual opening for the slipper. I think you can see it in the picture. In this way you get a double layer which elevates the heel. Teri, I used white cotton gauze for decoration.

Cathy and Nada - lovely slippers! Nada I've never seen the extra bit like that for the heel - brilliant idea.

OK, very clever, Nada. I don’t end up with a tongue because I cut a line and just slightly trim the edges. I will definitely try your “elevated” slippers next time. I imagine those slippers are great sellers around Christmas!
