Well if the yurt was up, I could fill it up. But it didn't get up this summer due to my hubbie's back problems. Hopefully, we have that taken care of now.
Lyn - the above the door shelf is a great idea. I could run it almost all the way around the room. Put stuff up there that I don't use as frequently.
I like the table/wall art too but I don't have enough wall space for it. When I took over the guest bedroom, I had to promise that if we needed an extra bedroom that I would put the bed back in place. Only have had to do that once in 5-6 years. The bed is stored out in a portion of the garage that was originally supposed to be my room. Too cold out there most of the time though.

Ruth - before the arrival of a grand-daughter who requires her own boudoir in our bungalow, my husband had a room of his very own, and he fixed a shelf, 12" wide, all along two adjacent walls at above door height. He painted the underside white to blend with the ceiling. It didn't affect the use of the room (and he's 6'4" tall) and it was surprising how much storage it gave to a small-ish room. It was ideal for storing stuff that was only used occasionally. After his 'man cave' was transformed into a princess bedroom, he really thought I might want to share my craft room with him. Of course I said that would be fine...but only after hell froze over!

Very clever use of space, Lyn! Sort of like the old idea of the Murphy bed, but much more attractive.

I realised yesterday that I kind of cheated with my neat photos, I forgot about the two bookcases in my bedroom filled with things like notebooks, needle felting stuff and other 'spare' things. And the bookcase in my computer room filled with sewing stuff, or the cupboard filled with boxes of fabrics Your room looks nice, Ruth
