I am still playing with ideas, though i did step out of my comfort zone, and geography zone, joined up to esty, and bought felting tutorial on poppies/bags . Do any of you use/sell/buy on esty? Now I have lost so much fibre time looking at all the amazing stuff on there!!! I used to just have my flicker for felt, now I joined up to esty and pintrest, and added felting sites to my facebook!!! help Lyn - hope you are feeling better Ann - that is cold beyond my ken, just can not imagine that cold. Judith- those trousers keep making me smile. Karen - they are freezing and we are sweltering, upside down world. Zed - plumbers are the same world wide and will always keep you waiting.

Yesterday--while waiting for the plumber--I laid out some wool for a white texture piece, and since I had my whites out I did an inventory. How did I end up with no white merino 23 micron?
It was actually my housing association who caused the hassle, they are terrible for getting repairs done. The plumber was great, and unlike others I've had, didn't leave a mess!
I joined up to etsy to buy, but when us 4 tried to sell on etsy we discovered you have to have a credit card, not just a paypal, and I can't even imagine how we'd work that out from 4 different countries!
I don't have a credit card either so won't be able to sell there.

Oh my Zed - sounds like an order from WOW is needed!
Jane - I don't use ETSY either. I have thought about it but just don't have the time it would need to make it work. As Zed explained, we tried to have a shop that would work for all four of us but they don't really allow that so it didn't work out.

Wow yes Judy you sure have been busy and Snickers is looking great, it is so interesting to see the stages and how it all comes together, wonderful work.
I have not got the time, tec know how, plus being way down at the bottom of the world means postage can be an issue, so esty to sell things is not for me, though I have had fun looking, and may well be tempted to buy again.

Judy - Snickers is looking beautiful!
Hello everyone - I'm back in the land of the living and thank you for your good wishes. I had a virus that wiped me out completely for a couple of days and now I have a chest infection. Doh!
The most infuriating thing is not that I don't feel well, but that my daily dose of fibre diary has blank pages! Today's daily dose of fibre may well be just visiting this forum. But I can't wait to get back to my diary.

Judy, Snickers is coming along so well, can't wait to see the next stage,
Lyn, so pleased you're (sort of) on the mend.
We got the trousers done as far as putting on the waistband and they look quite good. Son has gone off for a couple of weeks, so have put the trousers out of my sight until he returns. This afternoon I made myself a warm wool skirt, it was really relaxing working on my own!
My cotton scrim arrived yesterday, so I'm planning my next big dyeing, felting project. Another jacket, hopefully with embellishments.

Lyn - glad you're feeling better and on the mend. Maybe you could just stick a piece of yarn or fiber on those blank pages

So glad that the flu bug has found me invisible to it's charms. I think that just reading an article on fiber would still count as a daily dose. Well, Snickers is complete and now I just have to get the background situated when I take her to my next fiber art meeting where we are all working on pet portraits. When I sent the final snapshot to my daughter, she was amazed at how much it looks like Snickers. Here is the finale. judysfiberart.blogspot.com/p/projects-of-interest.html

Thanks everyone. I am not too fond of portraits of people done in fiber. For some reason, they always turn out to look spooky. But the texture seems to work with animals. Not sure who will come up with another request for a "Pet Portrait." Maybe that should be my new career. lol.
