I was confused too If it was me, I'd know I'd missed a whole word or 4 out! This is a rubber shelf liner 17. by zedster01, on Flickr They're very cheap.

The shelf liner isn't rubber, but it's a 'rubbery' mesh. I use it too, but zed and I are in UK and I have the feeling you are in US. Hope you're not on the East Coast - sounds like it with your power being off!! Good luck if you are. Back to the shelf liner - I buy mine at 'cheap shops'! Those who buy up bankrupt stock.

Hi Karen, perhaps I was not clear. Sorry. My wet felting is excluding fabric. I have not learned that technique yet. I'm still pretty new to felting, so one day at a time. Yes I love the little cell phone holders. I have been looking at your blogs and I love all the beautiful work from everyone. Do you know any felters who teach in the New York City area?

I'm sure someone will know of a teacher in your area, but there are so many good, free tutorials on line, not to mention those on this site.

Josie - do you have a place to buy felting supplies locally? If so, they might be a good resource for teachers. Also, check to see if there are any weavers/spinners guilds, many times there are felters involved in those groups. I can't imagine that NYC doesn't have any felting classes considering all of the art venues around. I just don't know of anyone right off hand. Have you googled it?

Sorry, Josie, I was thinking you were talking about netting fabric to cover your felt. I think most of us here with blogs have quite a few tutorials on our blogs. And there are tutorials and links to tutorials on the Studio site, if you hover over Tutorials on the menu bar, you'll get a pull down for the different pages.

Thanks everyone. I was actually scheduled to take a felting class tomorrow, but due to hurricane SAndymit was postponed. Believe it or not, I have seen many tutorials on line and they ate great, but I thought it also be great if I can take something locally. I have actually been buying much of my roving on-line, and more recently at a wool festival which was great. Amin thanks for all the positive feedback.

I hope you enjoy your felting class Josie ..... when it's re-arranged.
It's great to get together with other felters and you'll get a real buzz from it.
You need to see, read and do as much as you can because there are lots of different ideas on felting, and after a while you will find what works best for you.
