Hello, I'm Jennifer Piper. I live in the Seattle area, in Woodinville WA, USA. I've been wet felting for about a year, and I have jumped into it with joy and enthusiasm. In the past year I have taken classes from Lisa Klakulak, Fiona Duthie, Molly Williams, Teri Berry (hi Teri!) Lena Archbold, and others, and I attended Corinna Neitschmann's week-long virtual felting camp. Whew! I can't get enough.
I also do some needle felting. Right now I'm working through the tutorials in Jaana Mattson's excellent book Landscapes in Wool - The Art of Needle Felting. And when I want a small project to keep my hands busy I might needle felt something like a little creature or a plant.
Two topics I'm interested in but haven't explored much yet: eco-printing and dyeing. I'm intrigued by the recent thread on this forum about dyeing with Kool-Aid or food coloring. I want to try that!

Hi Jennifer, Welcome to the Forum. I love all the pieces you've shown us, especially the lights. Thank you! I love making lights, and I have plans for so many more. I'm sure I'm not the only with more plans than I could possibly make!

Come to think of it, that might be my favorite thing that I've made so far. I think I'll use a bit of it as my avatar picture on this forum. ...or maybe not. Haha I can't make up my mind.

Tell me about it! I think we're all in that boat; every time we get a new post on the Studio, we're given lots more ideas of things we want to try. Especially when you see a post like Ruth's this morning, with all the "what ifs" and suggestions for experimentation. The only trouble is life gets in the way, what with shopping, cleaning, cooking etc., etc. I sometimes wonder if writing all the ideas down and picking one with a pin might be the answer!

Yes exactly! Perhaps I'll try that, picking one with a pin.

Welcome Jennifer, I'm glad you joined us. You have really gotten the felting bug and certainly taken some great classes. Your creations are wonderful and I hope that you will continue to share what you are creating with us. I travel to the Seattle area (La Conner) on a regular basis for classes at the Gail Harker Creative Studies Center. It's a beautiful area.

I've dabbled in many other arts and crafts, but this one has thoroughly caught me and I don't want to stop. That's great that you visit my area, maybe we'll meet in person some time!
