Welcome, Jennifer. Your works are beautiful, I especially like the quirky spiked globe, I would love to hear more about how you made it. :-) Thank you caterina! That globe is essentially an upside-down vessel, with flat embellishments on the bottom half and 3D embellishments on the top half. The 3D elements like tubes and spikes I felted separately, leaving an unfelted fluffy "tail" on each one for attaching to the big sphere. Then I laid out the sphere on a circular resist, just as one would make a spherical vessel, and attached the fluffy end of the 3D elements to the top surface. Lots of wet soapy rubbing at the attachment points made sure they would not separate during subsequent rolling. I rolled it as usual, cut the circular opening on the bottom, fulled and rinsed, and shaped and dried it over an inflatable playground ball. I had in mind to illuminate it, and my Instagram post has a picture of it illuminated, but this particular one I like better unlit.

Great idea and great piece!
