These are absolutely lovely Lindsay, I think I’ve started a trend! You certainly have. The pixies / fairies / elves of the world owe you a debt of gratitude. Never before have they been so well shod.

They are lovely, Ann. So joyful. I saw them on your blog and (I hope) commented there. The Canadian elves will have gorgeously toastie toes!

Hi, Here are my contributions to the 4th quarter challenge. I have not done a likeness of anyone yet - decided to give it a try and make a couple of stockings with our son's puppies on them. Really fun to do - and challenging to get their personalities and all. I copied the picture of Hazel to size and then made a black and white copy on the printer. Cut out her body on store bought felt in a tan color so that I would have a solid color to start with. Then added in all the shading by needle felting. Hercules - I did not have any good pictures of how he likes to sit - with one leg out - so I found one on the internet and super imposed his head onto the body - a little more difficult - again copied to the size I wanted and cut from store bought white felt so I had a solid color under before adding shading by needle felting. Lots of other embellishments added, hand made felt, prefelt, silk, handmade yarn etc. Ready to sew a liner stocking to fit inside and hand sew around the edges adding a ribbon for the hangers. Thought others may want to try - using the store bought felt as a base really worked well. Thanks for the 4th quarter challenge. www.flickr.com/photos/149312245@N05/shares/9nHK1NHappy Holidays everyone! Cindy

Annie got the bit between her teeth and made 4 items for the challenge: a table runner mat; a wreath; a Christmas pudding decoration and some plant stars. There's a forum blog post about them here:
