Very pretty Fairies for the tree. A sharpie... Interesting Very pretty hanging "balls". That might be a good TV watching project. Thanks, I can’t remember what made me try the Sharpie....probably just the lack of black wool! Loved the fact that the hair still retained a hint of red though.

Isn't it great when a 'what if' moment works?

Thank you Marilyn - it really was such fun to make and it's my first decoration up in the house - I've never put up a Christmas decoration this early before.

Thank you Ann. On the blog you asked about getting the wire through the beads - I use a long sharp needle with a large eye, pliers and brute force. The felt is easily massaged back into shape and the felt closes quickly around the hole made by the eye of the needle.

Finally got around to making this years tree decorations.....apologies as one I’ve shown definitely isn’t fibre! The white one is an old plain bauble which I’ve decorated using the hot glue gun and then covered with matt emulsion. It’s such a quick fix I’ve done more of those than the fairy boots and fabric covered balls! http://instagram.com/p/CHSMnesjTdC

The fairy boots are adorable Karen! And such a good idea with the hot glue and paint on the baubles.

I love the fairy boots, the style, colour and size. I might just have to try making some for our tree.

Previously I’ve mounted them in a frame and given them as christening presents. This is the first time I’ve thought to make them as a tree decoration....thanks to the Challenge!
