I have one of those Lyn. I don't use it that much but it does work well for covering more surface area at a time. I think it could be useful for large areas but I've just realised that I wouldn't be able to angle the punch as I do the single needle when I need a certain effect.

Yes, it is kind of awkward to use sometimes. It just moves up and down.

I have a 5 needle one with a cover which I use occasionally but I find it compresses the wool a lot, partly the cover bit I think. I now have a 3 needle one which doesn’t have the cover & I like it much better. I’ve been making some small stuff to go in the gallery shop. Some pebbles & pebble key rings. I tried using a woollen jumper I boil washed for the middles to save on tops / roving. It worked well for the pebbles but I’m struggling to get the key rings to harden enough. www.ipernity.com/doc/2373440/48661640

Your pebbles are fabulous. Your colorful felt will make lovely bookmarks.

They both look great Lindsay. You could try putting the pebbles for the keychains in a nylon and giving the a trip through the washer and dryer. Just tie a knot between each one and toss in with a reg load. I have done that with small balls.

I found this lovely needle felting tool:
You can put any number between 1 and 6 needles, it is comfortable to hold and I can angle the needles as I work.

That's a great felting needle holder Pamster! You do need to be able to angle the needles.

Cool looking tool. Looks like the needles are easy to change.

Cool looking tool. Looks like the needles are easy to change. Yes, they are, it's just a little 'O' ring that holds them in place. Given my technical competence if I can change them anyone could
