Here they are, reversable mittens. Made for my niece who's 1,5 years old. Very easy and fast to make.

Beautiful Stargazer! Great idea to make them reversible. I’m sure she’ll love them.

I made my first book cover this week, with a resist to make the flaps. Recycled silk scarf (from a charity shop) on 2 thin layers of beige merino. Pleased with the fit as I estimated shrinkage by eye. The only problem is that in checking the fit I got some of the book pages damp so I think I’ll have to buy a new notebook! Fortunately it was a cheap one that I chose because it has rather nice copper coloured edges

Two more pics that I meant to attach showing back & edge (to illustrate the copper pages)

Beautiful! You were very brave to make it in one piece - and clever to estimate the shrinkage correctly.

Beautiful! You were very brave to make it in one piece - and clever to estimate the shrinkage correctly. Thanks, Lyn. I don’t want to exaggerate my skills - I took a paper template of the cover then cut the resist bigger - it’s just that I eyeballed the increased size rather than measuring and/or doing a sample. It’s a small book (A6?) so I thought I didn’t have too much to lose.

Looks wonderful! Especially love the wiggly lines in the pattern and color choice.

Great notebook cover Lindsay and I agree with Lyn, you did a perfect job on your size/shrinkage estimation.

That is great Lindsay, lovely colours. I bought some A6 books to sell along side the A5 size. It is nice to offer a choice. The A6 just seem to fit snuggly in your hand. Will you sell it or is it for you?
