Lyn, you have to subscribe to her mailing list to get it: wordpress.us4.list-manage.com/subscribe?u=262b788577ace3b8f02278a28&id=31c41456c0But you can always unsubscribe if you don't like her emails. Her name is Val Webb. Not sure if I have even gotten any other emails from her yet and I subscribed a week ago. Tracey, I have found that placement on notebook covers is kind of hard to plan for somehow. I have had the same issues.

Ruth - I managed fine with a cover where the design was pretty much symmetrical along the length, and an abstract one is easy of course. I had put rocks on the sand and when folded there was hardly any on the front cover. I think I am going to try again.

Lindsay, those are nice 'before' photos. I want to see the ones after creativity has happened.
I am trying to get a build some inventory for a sale at my church in early June. In order to start on that I first had to clean up my space. Since I've started working I'll be able to get some good 'after' photos to share. I just have to get home before sunset.

Elizabeth, I would love some photos of your studio space to include in the post. Good to hear you are back to felting again, good luck with your sale.

Lovely felt, Tracey. Shame about the notebook cover but they will make lovely cards - or maybe bookmarks? I sell quite a few bookmarks in the gallery shop where my studio is.

Thanks Lindsay. I may have to source yet another size of card as I do not want to chop them too small or I will lose too much sea or too much rocks and sand!
I have only sold one bookmark so far, I have a few pinned to a board, albeit not as interesting as a beach would be.

Thanks, Marilyn & Ruth. I've been felting and lurking a bit here. The job I started about a year ago was taking all my 'screen time'. At night, I was so sick of computers that I hardly checked personal email. I've gotten the hang of it and streamlined the job that now I can take a few breaks.

Tracey - framed pictures don't have to be big. Annie's made them as small as 4" link

Those are great Lyn. I need to get some things framed. Frames are expensive. I guess i could just paint some canvases. Elizabeth I am glad you managed to sort out work to get your fun time back. I hate it when working interferes with felt making.

Tracey - framed pictures don't have to be big. Annie's made them as small as 4" linkThat advice is so timely Lyn thanks. I have just started thinking how to submit my work differently outside of my larger frame and glass option. I took my new design of cards to show a friend who is arty and she said she thought they would look even better in a small deep edge frame, set back.
I was going to post to ask about mat and frame as I haven't ever explored that route. I contacted my framer for a price for a 16x12 mat and frame, which wasn't too bad, so I have ordered the cello bags for that size. So that gives me roughly A4 size to work in. I hope this way of presenting work will sell, it will be a change.
Here is a big question for anyone though please - I have been reading that a coloured mat and frame is a big no no, but I would personally be leaning towards that, what do you think?
I have only chopped the piece for one card Lyn, I will look at the rest in terms of two pictures instead.

I hate it when working interferes with felt making. I recently looked around some high street shops for quick canvases for my air plant hangings. Wilko has a pack of 3, mixed sizes, for about £5. I think the Range also has a good selection though I didnt check them out as I got some on sale in a local art supplies shop. I didn’t even paint them as they were already prepped with gesso so just put some D-rings & hanging cord onto the back. People seemed to like the look as I sold 3 of them.
