My daily dose today is making dryer ball guts. LOL I am cutting up old mistakes to make the middles for the dryer balls.

If you think about it, failed projects are still very useful. We (hopefully!) learn from what we did wrong, and if the mistake is tossed aside in exasperation, with a bit of thought it can be used for something else down the line as we all know.
Yesterday I spotted my attempt at a needle felted picture from ages ago. I had made a prefelt in an off white and then started to build the picture on top. I obviously got part way and thought this is not for me. So yesterday I pulled away the coloured sky etc, blended a few colours, and threw a few silks on. Today it is going to be chopped up, and lots of lovely stitching later - more cards !

Lovely Tracey! It feels good to rescue stuff. I've re-purposed a few 'things-that-didn't-go-to-plan-but-taught-me-lessons'.
I wonder which forum member could claim the highest pile of OMG bits of felt? I reckon I'm in the running.

I keep the pile down by making dryer balls. LOL

My sari silk arrived from India the other day, and I don't know if this is normal, but it came in a little lightweight calico bag that was actually hand sewn closed! I thought this was so sweet, far better than a boring envelope, and yes I will soak the stamps off and re-use the bag !!

I have just bought these two Belly Dancer hip wraps from a Pet's Lifeline charity stall, £1 each. I am hoping to do a bit of Nuno with them. No idea what material they are but they are sheer. That's once I have unpicked all the beading of course.... www.dropbox.com/s/58grp4d82yofxz6/20180224_121044.jpg?dl=0

You may want to try felting one of them with the beading and see what happens. Or a sample.

I am with Marilyn, do it with the beads on.

The beading would definitely add some bling. I would try a sample both ways to see which you liked best.

Well a bit of a disappointment, of course it has a Polyester label on it, made in China!! How does Polyester felt anyone?
Money towards Pet's Lifeline though.

Depends on the polyester. You never know until you try a sample. Some works great, some not as well.
