Beautiful Judy. It looks as if you've captured the leaves in the silk! I love the cracked look surrounding them.

Great job. Much better than my first attempt. But I did not have the eucalyptus either. That seems to give good impressions.

Very nice result, Judy. And what an interesting alchemistic technique - soya milk, vinegar, copper

Excellent, Judy. I too have started experimenting with this, but my first attempts were very dark. Fascinating really, how differing amounts of mordant & different water etc changes things, will post pics if I get time, having a busy week, not with fibres

Beautiful! That is very impressive for a first go at Eco printing. I hope I will get such a stunning result when I get around to trying it.

Hello Everyone. It was so much fun. I had NO idea what the outcomes would be... I actually did 4 samples with this first attempt.. 3 silk scarf white.
One silk scarf I dyed many years ago that was bright purple and pinks which dulled a lot while wet..but it printed really while..
.. And another white scarf with unknown type of fabric.. I am guessing rayon mixture kind of fabric. This one turn out very nice wet.
Photos later after dry and ironed...

Fantastic results Judy! Look forward to seeing more. Perhaps some eye of newt and toe of frog........ Seriously, what action does the soy milk mordant have?

Hello Everyone. The 3rd and 4th experiment was left in the pot 48 hours. VS. The first 2 being 24 hours.. (1). 24 hours in pot. (2) new one that had been pre dyed many years ago and left 48 hours... (3) an unknown fabric left in pot 48 hours... (4) the only with alum 24 hours in pot... It was the least successful one I think. The leaves you can nearly see but the onion skins came through the best in all of them.. The 3rd of unknown fabric leaves came out a very pretty Orange/peachy color which I really like.. Photo aren't the best sorry.. With each experiment I learned something new..... Today I am going to totally try a different experiment, no soy no alum.. My DH reckon I should try and sell them eventually. He is my greatest supporter... Smile. feltingandfiberstudio.files.wordpress.com/2016/10/18csmuuz_pk1tr8xww4c.jpgAttachments:

Judy you are definitely in the dye zone. I look forward to seeing the next experiment. You certainly have achieved some interesting results.
