Sorry ladies, I forgot to take a photo of that scarf with sleeves on the model. It was meant as a Christmas present and I can only say that my my daughter liked it and I hope I can post a picture some other time. I'm so glad that the Christmas holidays are over - too much cooking and serving guests. Now that my tribe have left and as my fingers are getting itchy, tomorrow I am planning to make a hat - my first one. We'll see what comes out of it.

Enjoy the peace Nada. We still have one visitor for a couple more days, then I'll be able to get into my Christmas presents. I received books by Moy Mackay and Andrea Hunter, together with a craft store voucher and I'm looking forward to putting all to good use.

I am getting all my company on Monday and they will be here for a week. I had to clean out my studio room and set it up as a bedroom so not much will be happening there

we where running a day behind so Christmas was yesterday with 11 for dinner and a great niece that is still on a bottle. Lots of cooking and the turkey went in very late and we didn't get to eat till 9pm. The last 2 visitors go home tomorrow, then maybe I can take a relaxing deep breath.

I love Sunday/Christmas dinner so we'll have it a few times over the next week or so I used left overs to make Christmas dinner soup, it was so nice. I had a bowl yesterday when I got back from the Abakhan sale, then went back for another. My son had a Quorn roast and roast spuds in the oven cooking too

Zed--Quorn is a new word for me, so had to look it up! Is your son vegetarian?
While we are talking food, my contribution to our Christmas eve potluck dinner was Chicken Mole, very time-consuming to make but oh so delicious! We ate it the next day, too!

I posted about my felt Christmas trees on the blog today but thought I would pop a couple of pictures here too.
The little one is in grandma's apartment. She has even less room for a tree than me. we do Christmas dinner twice. Once with the fancy plates and glasses and then with all the left overs we do it again the next day with the everyday plates. It was our own turkey and it was huge. One breast will go in the freezer for later consumption.

Frances, that is definitely a unique use for a Cemetary vase. The tree turned out nice.
Ann, the trees are cute.
We had ham on Christmas. We've been eating it for breakfast lunch and dinner since. I think the rest will go in the freezer today we're getting hammed out.

I saw polystyrene cones at Abakhan the other day, they weren't much more than £1, I stood wondering what use they might be, I see mini Christmas trees was the answer now Cathy, I've been vegetarian for over 30 years, I brought my kids up vegetarian, they both tried meat when they were older, one still eats it. Me, my son and girlfriend aren't vegan, but don't buy much dairy. I wouldn't turn down a packet of cheese and onion crisps or anything, but don't buy cheese or milk My son buys more vegan stuff like mayonnaise and 'cheese'. The smoked stuff is just like the smoked Bavarian in the shops. Stuff I got in the Abakhan sale:

Zed, you got some lovely fabric at the sale. Is it all silk? Frances, Ann, thanks for sharing ideas for making a christmas tree.

Early this morning, when my husband was still in bed I made these flowers. So this is my dose of fiber for today.
