Ruth, Angela, these are lovely cards. Unfortunately, I still haven't received the address from Jill (jwugg). My card is ready for sending - and Jill if you are reading this, please send me your address.

What lovely cards. Mine from Marilyn was waiting in the letter box when I got home from work tonight, how exciting. Marilyn had taken her inspiration from me telling her Christmas is often spent on the beach here as it is summer time, so her card was a beautifully decorated Christmas tree at the beach! lots of different techniques to give the feeling of sea and sand, even a little starfish! Thank you so much Marilyn I love it. Loved hearing how you had made it and all the different fibres and techniques that went into the making. Attachments:

I sent mine off to Frances more than 2 weeks ago, I hope it gets there. The Royal Mail assured me it would be there in 5-7 working days.

Thanks Jane and Zed! It was fun to make and I got to use several techniques I learned in Fionas class. It's the first time I worked in such a small format so it was a little challenging.

Thanks Ruth and Ann! I can't imagine BBQ for dinner either. But then differences are what makes the world go around.

Such a pretty card! I agree Marilyn, it's not easy to work small.

I certainly found it an interesting challenge. In fact I have enjoyed it so much I now have spare postcards! I made several versions and then went back to the original one to send to Marilyn. So if anyone missed out on joining the exchange or has not had a partner reply then let me know as I would be happy to send off some more.

Frances tells me her card has arrived in Georgia, but she is in Florida, so thought I'd post the photo so she can see it. The card is merino, tussah fibres, FMS, skeleton leaves (from my Camellia) mohair locks from Tess's goat "Tinx", which I received in the 2012 exchange and a bit of black commercial felt. Inspired by a friend's photo of a sunrise in the Yorkshire Dales. I also included a "Christmas Rose" pin, though it more resembles a Ranunculus! [

My Card and gifts have just arrived from Frances. Thank you, they're lovely, I like the way you've attached the shells and the little Xmas tree motifs are so sweet! Must be something to do with the jetstream - it takes less than half the time to come from US to UK as from UK to US. Mine must have been stuck in the Bermuda Triangle!
