I would like to add hidden raised texture into my wet felting, and was wondering if someone could suggest what to use please? I have seen half a felt ball used which is a nice effect but I wish to create swirls. I noticed some felters used thin felt ropes, however my ropes do not want to stay put in an swirly artistic way! I have looked at jute string, but same problem again, a sturdy yarn perhaps?

Love your bobbins Judith. have you jazzed up your wheel too - I am tempted but a little afraid incase I make a mess :-) Go for it Carole, I am sure it would turn out fabulous.

Great sloth Carole. I tried to come up with a clever name for him/her but unfortunately my brain is suffering from Christmasitus.

Thanks everyone. Good to see most just use whatever you have to hand that suits the project, that's fine.

Wouldn't it be great if things went smoothly just some of the time?! Beautiful cards Marian. I particularly like the tree card, I love looking at Winter trees.

I have come to the happy conclusion that I am a hobby seller as Anne mentions, and I would be happy to cover costs to buy more materials as Jill mentions. Luckily for me it is a much loved hobby with no need for it to be a business - just as well I hear you all thinking!! I do want to sell at craft fairs, and whilst I would not underprice and give things away, I hope I could price sensibly.
