A friend asked 2 days ago if I'd share a table at the Village Xmas Craft Fair today. Having quickly thrown some stuff into boxes, off we went this morning complete with my spinning wheel and Jane's e-spinner. The spinning created a lot of interest and we had a successful day with a few decent sales each. We also did some fibre swaps between us. I had taken some drop spindles along and there was interest from a couple of young boys, who, with some assistance, each made a short piece of plied yarn which they took away with great pride.

Looks great especially since you had no advance notice.

That looks great. I am glad you had fun and made some sales too. My daily dose was finishing my exchange cards and mailing them. and steaming all the scarf planks for my class tomorrow

Lovely display Judith! I'm glad you had some success and inspired some new fibre addicts.

Now I'll forgive you all for saying "what on earth is that"? - or worse! This was before washing and finishing and I haven't a clue what I'm going to do with this 3 yards of woolly mess. I'd consider overdyeing it if I had a big enough dyepot. Or perhaps I should use it for yarn bombing. The upside is that I know what not to do next time! CIMG7537 by Judith Robinson, on Flickr

I like it, too! What don't you like about it? Overdye and make pillow covers?

Judith, this would make an interesting handbag, or cushions, as others suggested. Just let your immagination go. I'm sure it won't be wasted.

Except for slippers I have never done anything for gentlemen. So I decided to make two scarves in cobweb technique (I had some interesting grey merino wool) and added only some mohair yarn for embellishment. Very soft and warm, I'm quite pleased with the result. www.ipernity.com/doc/724735/43961236 www.ipernity.com/doc/724735/43961234. On Friday the exhibition will be closed and I am preparing now for two Christmas fairs.

Lovely scarves Nada, and well suited for male or female. I recently gave a similar one to a female friend, who was very pleased with it. I can't remember who, but one of our members said she did extra fulling on the middle part of men's scarves to cope better with a bit of stubble.
