"Titanic" ! The title of the exhibition is "Film and Fabric" so the pieces should be connected in some way or inspired by the films. I was struggling to find a film for a white piece but it was simple for a blue one

Eventually I've finished the pieces I was asking an advice! Thank you all and Ruth especially for a very comprehensive post on various ways of finishing textile items. I've made two 3-D pieces for an upcoming exhibition Film and Fabric in York City Screen cinema. The off-white piece could be hanged and could be displayed as a free standing sculpture. I personally prefer it as a sculpture but it will hang for a while!

Could anyone direct me towards posts/discussions on finishing of wall hangings, please? How to stretch felted piece, attach some lining and so on? I'm sure there were talks on the subject, just can't find them. Not good with searching apparently...

I like " Sea Pattern #3”! It implies that there is a series of the pictures on the same theme. Sounds grand

Yet again I’ve managed to write a reply and somehow not post it. Lovely card, Galina I make & sell quite a lot of cards. I print sticky labels with [name of picture] From an original felt picture [my name] It’s worth the hassle of naming the picture even though it means I have different labels for each card as I’m often surprised by how long people spend reading the card backs. Also I was contacted recently by someone who received one of my cards and wanted to buy a print (it was a photo rather than a felt picture). The fact that she had the name was useful but it also proved the value of including my contact details. I used to initial the cards with the year but decided it wasn’t worth it. I’d probably do it for cards that are actual felt rather than photos of felt. Thank you Linsay! I was never very much in naming my pictures but now starting exhibiting with other textile artists I feel that my pieces are at disadvantage against the others with a meaningful names. Need to change my attitude towards that!

You say your 'signature is so far from being nice/interesting' could you develop one and get a stamp made. I had a brass stamp made of my initials which allows me to do a dye stamp, and a heated foil stamp (I also plan on trying a wax seal). Show us

Thank you all! It looks like a sticker with whatever info I'd like to display is the best bet. I do not mind signing as well (it's not thousands ) just my signature is so far from being nice/interesting! I will show it here when it's done. Thanks again!

It's a great idea, thank you Lyn! I need to check, I believe I have some suitable stickers already! Or I can order some at reasonable price. Thanks!

I have printed greeting cards with my felted designs. They are folded with a design on front but entirely blank on the back. Being in a rush to place an order I've not thought it through properly and now just do not know what to do Not only there is no useful information on the back of the cards but they have slightly unfinished feel about them as well. What could be done if anything? At the moment I have a few ideas (mostly silly ones!): - I could print something on a self adhesive paper and stick it to the card; - stump it with the name (my own name or my website/facebook page): - sign it by hand; - leave it as it is.
Any thoughts on the matter would be greatly appreciated !

I know a felt artist who use this kind of merino in her work but in very small quantities. I do not know why she doesn't use a commercial products, may be because she doesn't need a volume. But I doubt that it's practical if you need a lot of such material. As for a qualities of one vs another there is no way to tell until you try And everything depends on your project obviously!
