Hi everyone Well i sure am glad to be back in my house, we've just had a mammoth week doing the floors, my son came to do them and of course he put both of us on the machines to help, i did have fun but i was hurting all over lol Wet grinding, mud and slush all the way through, fun times. Thought i'd show you a couple of pics, dont worry about the dusty footprints or the slush still up the walls, i'm still cleaning now lol I absolutely love it and its like walking on thick glass now, not slippery at all and i never have to worry about spilling things anymore lol I dont know how to put more the one pic at a time here so this is my craft room floor

Karen I was wondering how you were getting on. Mammoth task huh, so glad to see your coming to the end of it and you can start putting your home back together. You have been through the ringer and deserve a medal, failing that a good stiff drink or two. The floors look fabulous.

Karen with a brick house there would be a 2x4 or 2x6 stud wall to put insulation in and vapour barrier in and then the drywall. I am surprised you don't insulate to keep the heat out. Where do you hide your electrical wires?

lol yes we have studs inbetween the bricks to and we do insulate. the electrical wires are in the studs between the bricks. Actually the wall does look thin in the photo lol but its not really

Just imagine the easy cleanup on that floor. Wow. My painting studio is separate from my sewing studio. I have ceramic tile on my sunroom floor, so that is where I paint. However, it has grout around the tile, so I try to be careful.

Wow, super shiny, and it will be so easy to keep clean. Hope you get back to normality very soon, you've had a long, hard ride!

My husband would like this with a sceter drain so he could just hose the place down.

Wouldn't it be fantastic to have a hoseable-clean house, Ann. Many years back, on a tv programme called 'Tomorrow's World', there was a futuristic bathroom that cleaned itself through jets of water from the ceiling. When I saw it I thought "that's for me!".
