I'd love hoseable floors or a self clean house. I have painted concrete floors in the living room with rugs to keep it warm and look nice, I put adhesive tiles in the hall, thinking it'd be easier to keep clean, but I realised the other day, it's always been messy because no one minds messing up a cleanable floor, if I'd had carpet, I doubt I'd have had oily bike bits dumped on it over the years. Well, maybe my dad still would have

I have hard would and it never seemed to stop them. Not that I am a neat and tidy house kind of person. House beautiful will never be coming here to take pictures. I just have to hope hoarders don't show up. )we all have the collector gene.

I'm no domestic Goddess either, so I love our hard floors. I reckon a house should be clean enough to stay healthy and messy enough to be called HOME.

I was looking at a home magazine a few weeks ago, all white throughout, including carpets, that would give me a nervous tick.

Karen, your floor looks great! My husband has this kind of floor in his workshop. Very durable and easy to clean. The floor in my work area was already painted when we bought the house. So I'm stuck with paint. It's not nearly as durable. Too much moisture and it starts to peel. So I covered a large area with foam rubber mats that fit together like puzzle pieces. Nice and squishy so it's easier on my knees when I work on the floor.

Thanks Teriann, it'd be fantastic in a work shop, i was having a bit of trouble with what to use to wash it, my son said ( just get a micro fibre mop) ok so i did and it was leaving streaks that were driving me banana's, so last night while searching through the attic i found my steam mop that i bought years ago and never used ( i'm a bit of a gadget holic ) lol anyway it worked perfectly, was quick and easy and with just a light steam i had no streaks. so i was able to re-assure hubby that the things i COLLECT really are worth it

I think I inherited the hoarding gene too, my loft is jam packed, I'm really not looking forward to emptying it, but I know I really have to soon.
