I have a landscape I complete last summer that includes driftwood. I old like to share it but am new to the forum and unsure how to post a photo. Any help would be appreciated. Kathleen McCartin

This is a landscape I’ve just finished as a commission (working from photographs). It’s challenging to get all the mountain lines just right as it’s a view they love but I’ve never seen. I enjoyed carding lots of different colour mixes for the different hills. The recipient was given it today and is reported to be “thrilled” so I’m happy and a little relieved.

What a wonderful job you did Lindsay! It is hard to work from a photo of somewhere you haven't seen for sure. The depth of the mountains receding is great and I love the little hidden roofs of buildings in the middle ground. You should be proud

I’m reasonably happy with it though spend a lot of time when I look at it thinking how it could be better. I’m glad I don’t have to live with it!

Lindsay it's fabulous, the colours in the hills are wonderful! Thank you, Pamster, I’m glad you like it. I added extra blue for the more distant hills on top of fairly firm prefelt and I wasn’t sure it was going to work but I quite like the slightly marbled effect.

It's a very accomplished felt landscape Lindsay - the shading in the mountains is superb. I love the foreground - pretty in its own right - as it serves to give the viewer a sense of scale.
I can see why the recipients were pleased! Commission well done indeed.

There really is a line of poplars in the foreground of this view so they offered an appealing focus.
