I promised myself not to buy any wool until I spend the old one I have in my stash. I found 200 gr of 22 mic merino wool which <I had bought from WW and decided to try it on slippers. This is what I got www.ipernity.com/doc/724735/44907582/in/album/673143 They are embellished with linen fiber (I like linen ver much). The slippers are so soft, yet they keep the shape. So different from the ones I make from corse wool. We'll see how they behave during wearing.

Lovely Nada, my kind of colours. Do you sew some kind of anti-slip on the bottom, could you please post a photo of the underneath? The sewing looks so neat!

Tracey, at a closer look you would see the stitching is not as neat as it seems. I always sew on leather soles (I cut out leathr myself an my husbsnd punches holes) I am using blanket stitch. Here you can see the bottom side on another pair www.ipernity.com/doc/724735/44908732

Thanks for posting the other pic Nada, another beautiful pair of slippers, gorgeous colours. You make these perfectly. Please tell me that they are good sellers for you, I cannot see how they would not sell really well in the UK. No, your stitching is great!

Isn't that exciting, opening packages with new orders? Those are some lovely materials, Marilyn. Any plans for concrete project yet? Yes it is Nada. :-). I didn't buy much silk, just enough to experiment with. I thought i would use the margilan with your pencil roving and possibly try the Russian technique you explained to me. I'll play with the mesh to see how it holds up in felting.

Ooh, nice supplies, Marilyn The slippers look gorgeous, Nada! I got about 3 months' worth of felting done this week. As much as I like making things with offcuts, it'd take forever to acquire enough pieces for the bags I want to make, so I made 6 new nuno pieces with lots of fabric strips in red, orange, yellow, green and blue. I can cut them all up to piece together again

Thanky you all for your comments. Yes, Ruth, I'm interested too what the slippers will look like after wearing. They've been fulled to maximum and also washed in the washing machine at 40 degrees.
