Good job on the sale Ann, you should do more art pieces as your style is quite distinctive

It's a shame staples can't be used, I'm probably least clumsy with those

Thanks Ladies. I would like to do more but time seems to be is very short supply lately. Maybe when school is done I will get better organised again.

Maybe kill two birds with one stone and do a class on art pieces, Ann?

My daily dose the last several days has been basting the snap tops onto the little change purses I made, so they can be sewn on properly.

What is 'basting'? I only know the term for cooking

Basting - securing something with temporary stitching - we might call it 'tacking' as in 'tacking something in place'.

Thanks for explaining that Lyn. Tacking is a good way to say it. I hadn't thought that wasn't a universal term. Todays daily dose was plying the orange yarn form the last blog post.

I like all the pieces, especially the sky in the top right painting. Four is a nice manageable number as you say. Looks like they were all having a good time.

You did a wonderful job of teaching! All the pictures are great. The felters have made three cleverly dramatic and colourful scenes, and one peaceful seashore that really takes my eye.

Great job, all the pictures turned out very nice Jill. Four is a good number to teach and give individualized attention.

I did quite a bit of ermm, let's say 'encouraging' as to which picture they should choose for inspiration, they each bought a few options. The seashore is to go with a picture of mine which she bought last year & still loves, so it's sort of in my style. This was her first time felting, but she is a watercolour artist so understands composition etc well. The best thing is they are all pleased & feeling good about their results.
