Thanks Marilyn, will do. I am also going to buy proper bobbin thread. When I was starting out I thought you had to match top and bottom thread, so when using metallic on top, yes you've guessed it, metallic in the bobbin - any wonder it all tangled up on the underside...!

I haven't really watched any. perhaps someone else knows of one. This made me laugh, Ann! Your Cat Cave post has been the most viewed post consistently for about 5 years I think I have been trying to organise my felt offcuts, something i need to do too often, because I never put them back properly. Judith, I just planted some Dyer's Woad this week, I think it might be biennial, but if it ever grows succesfully and you want to try it, I'll send you some. I also have about 3 bread bags full of red onion outer papery layers if you're interested?

Thanks zed. I think Woad is biennial, but I'd love to have a few seeds when they're ready.
As for onion skins - I've stopped collecting them for a while as they were beginning to take over - a bit like having Triffids!
Did the Honesty seeds germinate? If not I can send more, mine are in flower now.

Did the Honesty seeds germinate? If not I can send more, mine are in flower now. Can you use honesty for dying too? Or do you just like it? One of my favourite plants!

Penguin - Honesty isn't a dye plant, but the silvery seed pods can be used in felting, either for surface embellishment or as an inclusion in a fine felt - say, for a lampshade, where the light shines through the fabric. One of my early efforts, but it does show the inclusions, honesty being one of them. flic.kr/p/aLCxoM

Love those cards Tracey. Tell me, did everything stick OK when you threw them at the felt? Sorry, I have a warped sense of humour.
