Super hat, Anne, glad the class was good, those folds look sturdy.
I see you are in Norfolk - do you have any favourite felt/fibre/textile shops there? I am in Norfolk next week visiting family & always interested in trying a new shop or 2 !

Great hat. All the hats in the class looked really good. What am I missing here? I was puzzled how Ann could see all the hats, so I googled "zsofia marx felt workshops" and found this link: linkThen I clicked the back and forth arrows to see some wonderful photos! How is this section accessed from the forum please?

Hi Lyn,
That is for a future post on the main website. I wondered how you had found the photo without the post being shown yet. Weird.

Ann I thought I saw some threads in the picture. Did you sew the folds and then work on them more or was it just for drying?

Hi Ann, no threads on mine but some people had threads sewn in to show them where they needed to make the twists and pleats. I think they were the hats with the big rose incorporated

I thought I had missed this? I'm amazed a future post could be googled and accessed, huh!

There's an excellent yarn shop in Norwich - if you'll be near there I'll dig out the details. Otherwise there's very little about. 😳

Thanks Anne, Yes I am going to be staying just on the edge of Norwich, in Trowse. I think I have been to that wool shop, very nice. This time I want to visit the fabric shops on Magdalen St, am hoping for bargains.

And if you happen to take a trip to Bungay (although not sure why you would, unless it's to search these out) there's an excellent quilting shop, Sew and So's, and also a wonderful little old-fashioned haberdashery shop that also has some fabrics. The quilting shop is NOT cheap but the haberdashery and fabric shop, Whightmans, often has some real bargains. It's a pretty little town too but rather a trek from Norwich.

Thanks Anne, looks like Bungay may well be added to the list.

If you go to Bungay I recommend coffee and cake at The Old Bank tea room...it's an experience 😄
