Jill - yes, as Lyn says, they stay round. I've also used a method I picked up from a Lisa Klakulak video, which makes a thicker rope giving a similar effect: - Make a firm flat piece of felt the length you need and about 2" wide. Machine stich the whole back and forth across the width. Roll the piece and handstitch it down along the length, it curves naturally and the hanstitching ends up on the underside. Thanks, Lyn. I feel your pain, Jill. I have 3 bags in 'arrested development' due to handle issues.
I'm leery of only having one point of contact with the sides, and of the handles pulling the bag out of shape if it's heavily loaded (project what I do to my bags!)
