Absolutely lovely! Very cool use of the locks for waves and foam, and I appreciate the subtlety of the colors. There's lots of movement in your piece. Is it all wet-felted, or did you add needle-felting?

Beautiful Judy! I agree with Cathy. A lot of texture and movement. I look forward to seeing the finished piece.

Hello Ann and Mary,
Thanks for your lovely comments. Do you ladies have any suggestions on how to frame it?? I was sorta thinking of putting it on an artist canvas?? The other two Needle Felted Landscapes I had them professional matted and frame but this one I want it not to be so formal.

It's beautiful - I love the dreamy look you've achieved. Shana posted a very clear description of a framing method in this thread: FRAMINGIf you don't want a frame at all you can hang it on a dowel so that it appears to be floating against the wall.

It might look nice hanging from a piece of driftwood. It's a gorgeous picture.

Thanks for all your lovely suggestions, much appreciated. I do not think I would be able to find a piece of drift wood long enough. But I really love that idea.

How big is it? I like the driftwood hanger idea too. It's a lovely seascape.

Hello Ruth, the seascape is 21 inches wide and 14 inches tall. Today I did a wee bit if stitching on it. I stitched around the objects to makes them stand out more. I also stitched the waves together loosely so they would stand up a bit more. Judy

I have begun putting my felted hangings on stretcher bars, which is pretty easy once you do the first one. I did put a couple landscapes on painted canvas. Just depends on the look you are going for. One of my larger pieces is on a dowel rod, but I'm not quite satisfied with it.

Judy, this is a lovely "painting" - lots of movement in the picture. I'm sure you'll find a way to hang it on the wall.

Hello Cathy, if you back the piece with calico (scroll up to see photo in previous post) then attach a rod to the bottom edge as well (to act as a spacer), the felt will hang beautifully against the wall. Make the rods the right length so that they don't show if you're not looking directly at the picture.
