Very neatly done, Lyn. So the calico piece has ties sewn on, and those are tied to the rod…same technique at both ends to drape evenly, then how does it hang from the wall?

Very neatly done, Lyn. So the calico piece has ties sewn on, and those are tied to the rod…same technique at both ends to drape evenly, then how does it hang from the wall? A thin nail tapped into the wall at a slight angle will do! There's hardly any weight to a felted picture on calico and rods. (Ensure there are no wires or pipes in the wall that you could pierce, and tap the nail in so that it doesn't poke out further than the width of the dowelling.) And later on, if you decide you don't want a picture on the wall where you hang it now, a carefully removed nail only leaves a tiny hole that is easily filled in. btw - the ties allow for adjustment to ensure the piece is hanging correctly. Dowelling comes in many different diameters, so choose the thinnest one you can depending on the size and weight of your piece of felt. It's easily painted too - as you can see from the photo, the dowel was painted white.
