It's the Take a Stitch Tuesday post in hand stitching. I just abbreviated it. It's the year long challenge being run by Sharon of Pintangle where she posts a stitch to practice once a week. It's a good way to learn new hand stitches.

Oh duh Ruth of course, bringing my head down from the clouds now lol I've just come back from having lots of cuddles and she's just so awesome, Sean took some pics of Nana and baby so as soon as i get them i'll show you. Even though i hate having my pic taken, its for a good cause, to show off Charlie girl hehehe Oh p.s Ruth, did you just use a note book that you painted in for your stitch journal ?? its looks great !

ok i'm so sorry but i went to the Tast post and read through everything, i cannot find where she actually does the stitch, i can see on the right a link to the 2012 tast and when i click on that it takes me to the same post page, i can also see the comment on the right from people who have created the stitch but for the life of me i cannot find the actual stitch.

Don't worry, Karen, you are not alone. It took me at least 10 minutes of searching and trying all kinds of links. Somewhere there is a sentence that says to click on the title of the page and voila, it worked. I bookmarked it so I wouldn't have the problem again. (congrats on being a granny!)

I have no idea how I found it I followed Florcita's link and clicked something! Here's mine: TAST 2012 Fly Stitch by zedster01, on Flickr I must admit, I poked the needle right through to the back and then pushed it through to the front, not through/up like in the picture, I might find it easier not using a ring thingie.

Great job Zed! I personally don't like hoops. And if you stitch on felt, you really don't need one. The easiest way to get all the TAST instruction is just to follow Sharon's blog. I do that in Google reader with all the other blogs I follow. Her stitch dictionary is wonderful and show tons of different stitches if you have forgotten a stitch or want to learn a new one.
Karen - I'm looking forward to seeing the nana/baby photos.
