Hi everyone, I'm Han (Hanneke) from the Netherlands and have started felting last year. I am also a member of the Felting forum, but am not such a big poster, I'm more of a reader Anyway, I hope that i can learn a lot from this forum (I believe so, have already been snooping around as a guest, haha) and perhaps contribute somewhat as well. I will try to post some pictures of stuff I made so far in a few weeks.

Welcome Hanneke! Glad you joined us. I think the best way to learn is to share and ask questions and we love to see photos of your work. So do please post and snoop around as much as you'd like. What kind of felting do you like best?

I have started last summer with needle felting as this seemed to me the easiest way to get started. But in September I did a small wet felting class and that really excited me. I really love the possibilities of wet felting and look forward to explore this. The things I have done so far are not so many, I work four days a week and am a parttime student, and have a little girl of 3 years old, so my me-time is limited. I have needle felted a penguin and a corgy dog. I have wet felted a scarve, a pod and have a wall hanging work in progress. In the meantime I have ideas for a bag, some more pods and vessels, scarves. Just too many I have midterms till next Friday, after that i hope the weather allows me to take some pictures to show on this forum.

Wow - you sound busy. I started with needle felting too but my love is wet felting. So many possibilities, the list seems endless. I look forward to seeing your photos.

Hello Hanneke and welcome to the forum - I look forward to seeing some photos. I totally understand about the weather as the light in the UK hasn't been very good so far this year for photography.

Welcome, wow you are very busy. The nice thing about felting both wet and needle is you can walk away and come back to it later or in a few days. I have a piece that was wet a few weeks ago and is all dried out and waiting form me to get back to it.

Welcome to the forum, Han Yep, once you discover felting, that list of things to do just grows! I've been waiting months to take decent photos, when the light is right it's too windy!

Welcome Han. Felting is not a hobby nor a gentle pastime, be warned, it is an ADDICTION!!! However, it's also great fun! Enjoy!
