Next weekend I am doing a course in Helsinki, making a bag. I am so looking forward to making something I wouldn't normally consider so I am thinking of using raw fleece instead of merino and silk as I had originally planned. I had to smile though as we had a planning/introductory session last night and the tutor put up a load of pictures of bags on the big screen and there was one of Zed's! I wanted to leap up and say 'I know her' but then realised trying to explain to people in Finnish I knew Zed but had never met her could get complicated!! They are very focused here on using Finn wool and possibly Merino so hope to take the opportunity to show them the delights of other sheep wool. I will try to take some photos and update after next weekend.

Sounds like it's going to be a great weekend! I can understand how you felt when you saw one of Zed's bags - I would have wanted to leap up and say something too! I'm looking forward to seeing your photos.

I think I would have leapt up too! I bet things like that would come under fair use, Ruth, or free advertising I hope you enjoy the course and show us what you make.

I have never looked on Pinterest. I don't have a problem if the person is given credit for the work. I don't like it if no credit is given be it online or elsewhere.

I often recognise people's work before I see who made them. I think we all have a personal trademark, which is good!
