Time for the second quarter challenge. this quarter we are doing nuno felting. if you haven't don it you need to try it. if you have don it its time to stretch your skills. I posted it on the blog this morning. feltingandfiberstudio.com/For me I do nuno silk scarves all the time so I will be trying some different fabrics and techniques. I want to do some vessels too.

I would need to wear a pelican bib before I could get anywhere near that beautiful pile of silk otherwise I'd dribble on it and make water marks! You lucky thing.

I found a gaudy fluorescent pink synthetic scarf when I was hunting through my supplies, so I'm going to try using that.

In my spare time (which I have none) I am going to get Ruth's book and see if I can manage to do this to some smallish pieces of silk that someone gave me. She had someone make clothes for her after she brought back some silk from India or China (can't remember where)She asked me if I would like to have the leftover pieces. Of course, I said yes. They are not big enough for a scarf, but I might use them elsewhere.
