This is the last week of the daily dose of fiber challenge. I hope everyone has enjoyed getting in at least five minutes of creative time a day. Of course, you don't have to stop doing the 5 minutes a day, just keep up the good habits! Or if you didn't do the challenge, you could start anytime. I know I will be still doing at least 5 minutes every day and keeping up with more blog posting on my personal blog. I have plans to update and probably move my blog to wordpress. I am in the process of putting my store's website on Wordpress, that way I'd have everything together. I'll let you know when I change the address. Thanks to everyone who participated and I really enjoyed hearing about everyone's daily adventures. I hope you'll keep posting because it's been such fun!

Thanks for this challenge Ruth, I was slow to get started, but have caught up to some extent. My jacket has shrunk into a useful gilet, as I wasn't happy with the fronts where the fibre had shifted and didn't feel it was worth the effort of making the sleeves. Almost finished though and will post some pics in a few days. I'll perhaps make another in a different colourway. I do have some summer dresses too and another ready to cut out ..... mmmmm? Summer? ??

I've really enjoyed this challenge to Ruth, I haven't always posted on what I've been doing but most of the time I am getting in my time and having fun

I have enjoyed getting to know you better with the daily posts. I work on something most days. But sometimes just talking about it helps to organize things in your mind.
I started out rather disoriented. I had put everything away to make room for the grandchildren, and it disrupted my pattern. I had to find everything that had been stored in the containers. But today I made some real progress and plan to teach myself how to do a beaded fringe tonight, while watching t.v.

I hope your beading goes well Judy. Last time I did beading in front of the TV, I spilled some tiny ones and was finding them for weeks, there may still be some lurking in the corners!!

I've been going through my pieces of made felt, seeing what they'd be good for making into, trying to convince myself it isn't a 'waste' to cut something up, it's a waste to have pieces away in a box. I sewed a few coin pouches and a glasses case. I think I need new cottons for blanket stitching though We should keep going with the threads here, they're really interesting.

Judith - I am still finding beads from my bead book, months later. I never really bothered trying to find them when I dropped them unless it was a big bunch.
Zed - I would never think one of your book covers, pouches or bags was a waste!! As you say, it's better than having them sit in a box.

Zed, I agree, better to use those pieces when you feel inspired to make something rather than have them sit in a box. Ruth, I'm so pleased to find another Domestic Goddess such as myself!

This morning was Quilt Guild day. We had a program from a teacher who made quilts from vintage handkerchiefs. They were absolutely wonderful. She also was teaching a workshop on wool applique. Wow, you would have just died if you had seen her fabulous wall hangings and small pieces of art. She made needle books and coin purses that were made from hand dyed wool fabrics. I did not take this class, but I was just so impressed. Yes, I am sweeping up beads from under my recliner and the ones that bounced all over the room.

Thanks, Ruth and Judith I agree about the beads, unless they're big enough to hurt when you stand on them in bare feet. I have a pile of felt now with labels on for what to make from it. I ordered some gorgeous threads from etsy.
