Another new week. So do you feel like you have started any new habits since we started the challenge? Have you gotten more done? I have definitely gotten into the blogging mode on a daily basis. The one thing I really like about that is I can look back and see what I have accomplished over the last two months.
This week, I am trying to finish up all my stitch course homework. It's mainly machine stitching at this point. Then I need to take photos of everything and send it in for review.
This weekend, I am off to Florence, MT to pick up 200# of wool. I will then take it to a local mill to be made into batts for the yurt. Then hopefully, by May, I will have lovely batts to start felting the yurt!!

That yurt will be quite an undertaking. Much bigger than anything I have ever tried to do. It is too cold to be in the sunroom painting studio, so I will not be working on #24 for a few days. I decided to spend another afternoon in the warm sitting room, with the t.v. and the recliner; doing more beading. Maybe even a nap. I think that I always work too much, but I like the idea of doing a daily amount; be it only 5 minutes.

I got some very nice emails from some of the students who took my Landscape class last week. I wondered if I had simplified things enough. They were particularly impressed with how organized I made the presentations. So, I guess my hard work payed off.
I stayed very busy today. I put together some plans for my Steampunk group project. We solved the hanging problems at our last 2 meetings. That is where I always start because it doesn't matter how great your artwork is, if you can't hang it. Now I am doing research on line and in magazines and have printed off images that I can use in my background. This project is a long way off, so I have a lot of time to develop it. Oh, and I also did the laundry and the dusting. lol

Glad you got good feedback on your class Judy. That's always nice when students take the time to do that.
Good idea about the hanging/presentation issues and deciding on that first. Often at the last minute, it doesn't always work out well.

I don't know if I mentioned it or not but I think I had birds in one of my felt bird houses. It has been out for at least two years now - only one out of three lasted. The squirrels ate the other ones. But there are sticks inside the bird house and it looks like something started to make a nest. It doesn't look like a finished nest though. I first noticed it this winter. I never saw any birds go in or out though.

I was wondering about how felt birdhouses would hold up. They would have to take a lot of pressure. Today I went to my meeting of our Senior's Art Guild. It was actually a good meeting, as we have a lot of new members who are willing to work. When I got home, I did do a little beading so that I could get my daily dose in. I will probably do more on it tonight.

In answer to your question Ruth, yes, I have adopted new habits with regard to 'my makings', and I'm more relaxed now that I have done so.
Today I worked on sorting photos and I decided to take a break and I almost made a bowl, but I didn't really have enough time so I tried to hurry and made a mess of it. Ah well, it was a good reminder that a job worth doing is worth doing well.

I have a bird house which I put out over a year ago, I haven't seen any activity, it's in a holly tree, which has grown around it to some extent, so I'm hoping that will be encouraging to the birds.
It would be nice if we all got some feathered lodgers this year.

We have a nest that is occupied by robins in a small maple tree. It sits right in front of our office window. They come back every year. I spent all morning printing some of my own artwork and some elements from internet downloads onto photo fabric. This gives me more millage out of my paintings and drawings. I just print them onto fabric. This afternoon I did a little hand sewing.
