Giving your instructions to someone who knows with nothing is the best way If find out if the make sense. It's hard not to use idioms or slang. could you have trid to go to fast with the balls? I know if you do to fast doing them by hand you end up with wrinkly balls. that sounds rude. the one my friend did she only put a few drops of water in with a drop of soap. making felt balls drives me crazy because I do go to fast. I like doing tube beads. They are fast.

I see an opportunity here for Lyn and Judith... felt brains tutorial! I'm sure kids would enjoy that more than balls anyway

This morning I spent time cleaning up the studio from making the class samples and then writing out a lesson plan for the class. I came up with 8 major points. I think they are simple enough to understand landscape construction. 1. Oriental and Folk Art Space. 2. Contrasts Using Line. 3. Contrasts by Value and Color Saturation. 4. Contrasts by Size or Proportion. 5. Overlapping. 6. Horizon Line. 7. Rule of Thirds; Placement of Focal Elements. 8. Photo Interpretations.

This was fun to make. It's just ornamental - merino wool and an old scarf nuno'd onto it. Attachments:

They look gorgeous, Lyn! I love the texture of the ornamental one! What kind of yarn did you use? I can't wait to get my hands wet, soapy and woolly again instead of endless typing

Thank you Zed - it's yarn from my stash (no label - typical) but I'm sure it's 100% wool. Attachments:

Both are lovely Lyn. I really like the shape of the first one. Very elegant.

Love the wool sculpture and vase. The texture adds a lot to the experience of these objects. More interest. Today I have worked from my outline and made folders for my photographs. The photos will be used for inspiration and teaching illustrations. And now I am finished. Two weeks before the class and I can move on to something else. Whoooooo Hooooo.

Well done Judy - you seem to be firing on all cylinders plus one! Doesn't it feel great when you're ahead of the game.

I've just finished and dispatched a tutorial for a UK crafts mag - Father's Day gift, culinary not textile. So although I've achieved something, I haven't had my daily dose. It's nearly bedtime, so I will have to satisfy myself with a fibre mag.
