Been lurking here for awhile and have to thank everyone on this forum for teaching me the basics of wet and nuno felting. I was given an antique wooded cloche hat block for Christmas and want to use it to make a hat. Not sure how to begin the process. Should I go with a flat resist or start using a ball or bowl? Thanks, Robin

I would use a flat resist to make a hood and then do shaping on the hat block. There are some you tube videos on shaping on a hat block.

Lucky you! What a great gift. I agree with Ruth, start with a flat resist, then full it on the block. Look forward to seeing photos.

Thanks everyone. I was thinking using the resist would be the best method. Hopefully I will have some time this coming weekend to attempt this. I will definitely share a picture when it is finished.
