If you haven't checked out the first quarter studio challenge here's the link: feltingandfiberstudio.com/2013/01/01/a-daily-dose-of-fiber-challenge/Lyn had a suggestion about using a diary for putting down your daily goal or to do list so you can keep track of what you've done. I think that's a marvelous idea. I'll be doing updates about other daily creativity ideas once a week and I'll be posting daily (gulp) to my blog in my efforts at a Daily Dose of Fiber. We'd love to hear what you've been up to every day and please include photos if you have them

January 1, 2013_ day one I went through some sketch books that I found when cleaning for Christmas. I found some old ideas and lots of doodle shapes and some abstract art ideas.

I did some felting yesterday. I think a lot of my 5 minutes a day will be spent thinking rather than doing, it's making me feel ill just looking down to type today.

Great idea, I am trying to do something creative every day even if the project isn't fibre based yesterday I had a go at my first folded papercut, this afternoon I am planning on felting a merino/silk scarf that has been laid out for a month. My small one is asleep on my lap at the mo so I am reading up on tutorials to make her a bigger sling. Busy busy!

I worked on my beaded book. You can see photos on my blog. Probably more beading today as well. I've got three more pages to complete and then I start on the binding.

While dropping off more clutter from my closets, I took some time to stroll around Hobby Lobby. I do this from time to time looking at the wall hangings. I study these for design inspiration. It helps to do some sketching at this time. People who design these things are first rate professionals. (aside from the occasional bad ones) I also check out Pier One Imports. Try it some time. You can get some great ideas.

Order more wool sounds like a wonderful daily dose of fiber activity! I spent more time beading. I'll be happy when this book is finished

Spending this day fighting with Dear Husband about nonsensical things (which are all my fault) and organizing my next studio project. I will be putting together a small mixed media piece that will mainly be made with felt. Hope to use some of the fun foam and alcohol ink embellishments in this. It is going to be very small.

I've been working late a lot and by the time I get home my eyes are too tired to work on my felting projects. So, I've been ripping fabric into strips and making a round rag rug. It's rather like an endless blanket stitch. I can add rows without thinking and almost without looking. A good project when I'm tired. This one is made from strips of bluejeans, shirts, bed sheets and couch throws.

Love that rug. Haven't done that in forever. Today I am trying to warm up my painting studio enough to do some painting on canvas. I has been so cold that I haven't been able to use it since before the holidays. So, the little heater is churning and hopefully the sunroom studio will be warm by noon.
I have a question How do I add pictures on here without starting a new thread. I tried to add a link from Flicker, but it failed. I would have added one from my PC, but could not find the page . Do I click on the Share button. It took me to a post on Pro Boards.
