Hi ... I've really just started felting and been driving myself crazy with my process and quality. rosiepink.typepad.co.uk/ have been so kind and supportive. I knit and spin and guess its a while since I found learning something new so frustrating but I'm not wanting to give up ... L!

Hi ... I've been out of work 18 months .. I threw in the towel (after 20 years in business development) due to severe anxiety. I had this daft idea, now that im recovered, that I might sell a few wee kids slippers to make a bit of pin money and to keep myself sane ... My days of the consultancy world are over!
Anyways I have had disaster after disaster ... I think I might be getting there now but I'm usually not so klutzy with fibrey things and have been giving myself a really rough ride ... My idea is to wet felt the shoes and then needle felt wee designs on them ... I'd also love to be able to do 3D needle felting but that's for 2013! A wee simple dog from Molly Makes has taken about a week and its still not finished... :0)
I love seeing everyone's makes though ... Helps me realise my limitations.
I'm so glad to be here, and looking forward to getting to know folk. This already seems a really friendly forum. you'll also get me on Ravelry as ugliebettie
Liz!

Hi and welcome. Don't get frustrated, we all sarted at the beginning. Just ask questions and tell us what you are doing and what is happening and we will do our best to sort things out for you. Is there anyone near you that could help? Sometimes just seeing something first hand will fix everything.

Hello Liz and glad to see you here! Felting can be frustrating sometimes, but it's always fun! There are a lot of felty things you can make and sell - have you seen Aileen's lovely bits and pieces? www.aileenclarkecrafts.com/And when you're ready to have a go at 3d needle felt, have a look at Mrs Plop mrsplop.blogspot.co.uk/That's just a couple that I thought of from the top of my head - have a good surf and you'll see lots of ideas for felty goodies.

Hello there and welcome.
Felting is a bit different to many fibre- related crafts, but it's fun and completely addictive.
We all have our disasters, and really, slippers are not the easiest things to start with, so take heart.
