I've just been reading the Newsletter of the Association of Guilds of Weavers Spinners & Dyers and was pointed to "a video of Mabel talking about spinning, the film quality is of the era but the information is as good now as then. It is 'Hand Spinning- Advanced Techniques with Mabel Ross 1988-ish' and seems to be nearly two hours long" youtu.be/xwJlTaJSTb4? si=oU3lohVYbbVW3NB0 I know that there are some spinners amongst us and thought that this might be of interest. I taught myself to spin mainly using Mabel's books, and I need to go back to them to revise, because I've practically forgotten how to do it. And don't tell me that it's like riding a bike, 'cos I can't do that either! Enjoy 😛

Thank you for the pointer, although I can not spin now, I might consider it in the future, who knows, or my daughter might be interested. She's started another little handweaving just yesterday, all in secret, I suspect that she is interested in it because I can't do it, so that I can't give her suggestions at all 🤣 but I am pushing youTube videos on how to weave on her, that she may watch by herself on her tablet if she wishes.
