I've just read about a tropical plant which is used for dying and also making ink (and it also has a medicinal use) which was pointed out on the Online Guild WSD. Here's the link to it. tropical.theferns.info/viewtropical.php?id=Impatiens+tinctoria Something for Ruth perhaps with her tree book and other mixed media crafts?

Interesting, but I don't usually do a lot of natural dyeing. Sometimes my group experiments with natural inks and dyes. I'm not sure where we would source this one.
